Surangana Bandyopadhyay and Satyam Bhattacharya bring a rustic love story to life in Rohan Sen’s next | Bengali Movie News

Set in the rustic heart of Birbhum, director Rohan Sen’s upcoming film Sheshbela weaves a poignant story of love, silence, and sacrifice. At its core is Swapna, a simple village girl with shattered roots, who finds warmth and hope in her bond with Rupak, her school teacher. But fate has its own script—etched in unspoken moments and the quiet bloom of a love that never needed words. Surangana Bandyopadhyay, who essays the role of Swapna, said, “The subject of the film is very interesting to me, and I’m excited to see how Rohan explores it. The struggles she grapples with and how she fights back really drew me to this character.” Satyam Bhattacharya, cast opposite her, added, “Coming back to work after so long feels great, and it’s my first project with Rohan. I’m portraying a simple village guy who goes through a lot of complexities and learns to cope.”
