The buzz surrounding megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film with director Bobby Kolli, tentatively titled ‘Mega158,’ is intensifying. Recent reports suggest that actress Malavika Mohanan is in advanced talks to play one of the female leads in the project.
Pooja function to begin on THIS day
As reported by Cinema Express, a formal pooja ceremony is scheduled for November 5 which officially marks the project’s launch. An official confirmation regarding Malavika Mohanan in the cast and the rolling date is expected to be announced soon by the makers of the Chiranjeevi starrer. Earlier the concept poster of Mega158 was unveiled on Chiranjeevi’s birthday, hinting at a high-energy mass entertainer in Bobby Kolli’s signature style.
Chiranjeevi’s busy lineup ahead
Apart from Mega158, the megastar also has the action-fantasy ‘Vishwambhara’ in the pipeline. Chiranjeevi will be also teaming up with Srikanth Odela and Anil Ravipudi. Chiranjeevi was last seen in the actioner ‘Waltair Veerayya’ which received mixed reviews from the audiences.
‘Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu’ readies for Sankranthi release
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi’s next release, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, directed by Anil Ravipudi, is slated to hit theatres during Sankranthi 2026. The family entertainer stars Nayanthara as the female lead.The promo for the first single, ‘Meesaala Pilla’, was unveiled on the last day. The song featured the vocals by Udit Narayan and Shweta Mohan. The melody was written by Bhaskara Bhatla and choreographed by Vijay Polanki.
Malavika Mohanan’s work front
On the other hand, Malavika Mohanan was last seen in the Mohanlal starrer ‘Hridayapoorvam’ which turned out to be a superhit. The feel good drama movie was directed by the veteran Malayalam filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad. Malavika Mohanan will be next seen in the most awaited upcoming Prabhas starrer ‘The Raja Saab’ which is touted to be a horror comedy flick. Maruthi’s directorial is expected to hit the big screens on January 9 next year. The film will also feature Sanjay Dutt, Niddhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar in pivotal roles.
