Dulquer Salmaan has recently revealed in an interview that he was initially reluctant to even appear in ‘Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra’, despite being the producer of the ambitious fantasy drama.DQ’s cameo as Charlie aka Odiyan, a mysterious character who briefly enters the world of Kalyani Priyadarshan’s Chandra, has been received well by the audience. But in his own words, it was a battle. “I fought with them for it. I said, ‘You guys should be able to make it without me having to do anything.’ Even this cameo, I fought with them,” Dulquer shared in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India.

Dulquer says he is super greedy about movies

The actor-producer explained why he wanted his production banner to stand apart from his personal stardom. “I kind of want it (his production house) to be a standalone entity. I am super greedy about movies.” DQ said.“For me, that is more exciting than me producing my own superhero movie,” he said. Dulquer added that he made a conscious decision to back a story with a female superhero at the center, instead of himself.Recently the makers shared the character glimpse of Odiyan via Instagram with a note that read, “The mysterious World of #Lokah is expanding ! Introducing Odiyan from the world of Lokah.”
