Jaideep Ahlawat has confirmed that he was indeed approached for a role in Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama. The Paatal Lok actor revealed in a recent interview that he was offered the role of Vibhishana, Raavana’s righteous brother, but had to let go of the opportunity due to scheduling conflicts.In an interview with The Lallantop, Jaideep shared that the role required him to shoot scenes with the actor playing Raavana, and the team was working with a tight and specific window of dates. “Offer hua tha. Par timing match nahi ho rahi thi,” he said, explaining that the coordination required between Vibhishana and Raavana’s parts was crucial.Jaideep added, “I think Yash kar rahe hain, KGF waale.” He also mentioned that Raavana’s schedule was likely prioritised, indicating that the team had to move ahead without him. “I’m sure Raavan ki dates mujh se zyada important hogi,” he said.A stellar ensemble brings Ramayana to lifeHelmed by Dangal and Chhichhore director Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is being crafted as a two-part epic.
