Himesh Reshammiya’s BIG reveal on Arijit Singh’s fees per song; says the singer is ‘not about money’

Be it independent releases, Bollywood songs, or music composition, you name it, and Himesh Reshammiya has done it. In addition to music, he has tried his hand at acting as well, and though his cinematography’s list is not long, he never missed a chance to entertain fans. Besides offering his fans a dose of entertainment, Himesh often finds himself embroiled in one controversy or the other controversy. In his recent interview, Himesh spoke about the music industry, different artists, and much more.

Himesh Reshammiya shares words of appreciation for Arijit Singh, Sonu Nigam

While talking to Raj Shamani, Himesh lauded versatile singers who make every song their own. He specifically mentioned two names from the industry who over the years have proven that their vocals can fit any genre of music. And the names are Arijit Singh and Sonu Nigam.“Arijit is great, he fits into every song. Even Sonu Nigam is great, he can go with any song, give him anything, anytime. It’s not about just singing, they’ll do their job and they won’t come out poorly, they’ll sing well, so I don’t think it’s a formula. But today, it’s more about the composition and lyrics. You can pull it off with a good singer, but it’s not that; if you need a legendary voice for that song, you should go for them (Arijit, Sonu). If you’re sure that I’ll pull it off without them, it’s up to you,” said Himesh.

Himesh Reshammiya on how much Arijit Singh charges per song

In a world where rewards are bigger than awards, Himesh Reshammiya confessed Arijit Singh’s fee per song. He mentioned that there are things above money and the ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ singer knows it very well.“Arijit is not about money, he’s about heart. He is not about who says yes, just saying yes is enough. If Arijit does it, I don’t think anyone will discuss the price with him, and he’ll also be reasonable. Now, the whole new generation’s mathematics is not about money. Because if you want to do it, everyone becomes reasonable, and when you don’t want to do it, that’s when the reasonable talk comes in,” revealed Himesh.Further, he quoted, “Everyone is being exclusive, thinking too much, including me, that’s why organic growth is getting stuck somewhere. Exclusive growth is getting stuck, will get stuck, because collaborative effort, where everyone comes together to do something, is not happening.” “You see, in big movies, the villain is often a newcomer, but when you need a star villain, he won’t do it because he’s becoming a hero, or the villain is becoming a hero. And why not? If he has the opportunity, he’ll think, why should I play a character role or be a villain,” concluded the musical artist.
