Gaurav Sareen on marrying Jaya Arora: I had tears in my eyes when I saw her as a bride

Gaurav Sareen is officially a married man! The actor tied the knot with Jaya Arora, a software engineer based in the US, on February 8 in Delhi. Speaking about his big day, he shares, “When I saw her in her wedding attire, I had tears in my eyes. Even now, I get goosebumps talking about it. If someone can make you feel that way, I don’t think there’s anything more beautiful than that.”
While they have known each other for nearly 15 years through family connections, love blossomed between them two and a half years ago. So, what made him fall for Jaya? The 29-year-old actor shares, “Sometimes, love doesn’t need a reason—it just happens. That’s exactly what it was for me. Over the years, I have met many people, but no one has ever matched the energy, comfort, and emotions Jaya gives me. With her, I feel at ease.”
He also believes that marrying someone outside the industry brings balance to his life. He explains, “Having a partner from a different profession keeps you grounded. It’s the best way to grow mentally and emotionally. When both partners belong to the same industry, personal life takes a backseat because work dominates every conversation. As an actor, I need emotional stability at home, and Jaya gives me that.”
Currently, the newlyweds are in Gaurav’s hometown, Amritsar, spending time with his family. But what about their honeymoon? He laughs, “Right now, we just want to enjoy these 10-15 days with my parents. Jaya will be heading back to the US by the end of this month, though the exact date isn’t fixed. As for our honeymoon—well, life itself is going to be one big honeymoon. We plan to travel together for a lifetime.”
Since Jaya is based in the US, the couple will be navigating a long-distance marriage. Gaurav remains optimistic, saying, “Jaya will visit India when I’m shooting, and when I’m free, I’ll fly to be with her. It’s just a flight away. We’ve already been managing this for two and a half years, and everything has worked out great so far.”
On the work front, the actor, who became a household name as Radhe Shukla from Krishna Chali London, has taken a break from television to focus on films. He shares, “After my film Dashmi, which released in February last year, I completed shooting for another project directed by Suneel Kumar Reddy. It’s a father-son drama where Arbaaz Khan plays my father. Right now, my focus is entirely on films.”
