Exclusive- Vibhav Roy recalls the nostalgic days of celebrating Raksha Bandhan with sister Varnika Roy

As India prepares to celebrate Raksha Bandhan 2025 on Saturday, August 9, ‘Shaitani Rasmein’ actor Vibhav Roy, opens up about the bond he shares with his elder sister, Varnika Roy, who’s currently shifted in Maryland, United States. He said, “My bond with my elder sister has always been more like a mother-son relationship. She’s just two years older, but somehow, she’s always mothered me, protected me, guided me, and stood by me no matter what.”He continued, “More than a Sister, A Second Mom! She’s been my role model in every sense. The way she’s managed both her personal and professional life is something I deeply admire. As the elder sibling, she’s always led by example, often silently but always strongly.”Vibhav also known for featuring in TV show ‘Meri Saas Bhoot Hai’ fondly recalls the nostalgic days of celebrating the festival. “Some of my most cherished Rakhi memories are from childhood—like when I’d ask Mom for money to give my sister a gift and sneakily keep half for myself. Classic little-brother behavior,” he shared laughingly. He further added, “Back in school, if anyone ever messed with me, I’d threaten them with just her name—and that was enough. Honestly, not much has changed since.” Talking about his Raksha Bandhan plans for this year. “This year it’s a FaceTime Rakhi, since she lives overseas now. But if anything, distance has only made our bond stronger. The love, the memories, the laughter—they always find their way back,” he concluded. On professional front, Vibhav started his career as an actor with the show ‘Gustaakh Di’, later he acted in ‘Doli Armaano Ki’ and was last seen on ‘Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan’. He was later seen in the movies ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Lashtam Pashtam’.
