‘Coolie’ wraps up shoot: Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan shine in new BTS promo | Tamil Movie News
The much-awaited action thriller ‘Coolie’, starring Superstar Rajinikanth and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has officially wrapped up its shoot. Marking the occasion, the makers released an exciting new promo featuring unseen behind-the-scenes visuals from the sets.
Sharing the new BTS promo video, the makers wrote on Instagram, “It’s a super wrap for #Coolie.”
The latest promo showcases Rajinikanth in his intense new avatar, along with glimpses of key cast members, including Nagarjuna Akkineni, Shruti Haasan, Upendra Rao, and Soubin Shahir. The film, produced on a grand scale, is expected to be a high-octane entertainer with Rajinikanth reportedly playing a character with grey shades.
Soon the post was flooded with comments from fans who were eagerly waiting for the Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj combo. One comment read, “First 1000cr movie of Kollywood.” Another comment read, “OG Sambavam Loading.” A third comment read, “50yrs of Rajinism , Kollywood first 1000cr Movie.”
Adding to the star power, ‘Coolie’ also features Sathyaraj in a significant role, while Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is set to make a special cameo appearance. Actress Pooja Hegde has been roped in for a dance sequence, further soaring the film’s appeal.
While the official release date is yet to be announced, the BTS promo has already heightened anticipation among fans. Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for his gripping narratives and action-packed filmmaking, is set to bring a fresh take on Rajinikanth’s persona with ‘Coolie’.
On the other hand, Rajinikanth’s previous outing was the action drama movie ‘Vettaiyan’ which was directed by the ‘Jai Bhim’ fame TJ Gnanavel. The movie unfortunately didn’t mint impressive numbers at the box office as expected.
Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s previous outing was the Vijay starrer action entertainer ‘Leo’. Even with some flaws in the second half, ‘Leo’ managed to mint magnificent box office numbers.
