SummerSlam 2025 will be held over the upcoming weekend on August 2 and 3, at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey. The stage and the city itself are getting ready to welcome the biggest stars of the ring, as they take center stage at the big event. Of course, the John Cena vs Cody Rhodes rematch is set to be the biggest attraction, but there is one other person fans are curious about – and that is none other than The Rock or should we say, The Final Boss.
Will The Rock be at SummerSlam 2025?
After The Rock’s appearance at the end of the Elimination Chamber 2025 event saw John Cena turn heel, WWE fans have been expecting to see him back on the stage as the storyline progresses. But so far there has been no development on that front. Most people believed he would be at the WrestleMania event, after the big turning point at Elimination Chamber, but that turned out to be a bust. The fan theories have continued though.But not only was The Final Boss absent from the WrestleMania event back in April, he has had no interactions in the world of WWE since that press conference after John Cena’s out-of-character heel turn. With the next big event knocking on WWE’s doors, fans have wondered if The Rock will finally reappear at SummerSlam. But with what the chatter is so far, it looks like he is going to be a no-show here as well.
Can fans expect a surprise at SummerSlam?
Well, we never say never – so, while the chances of The Rock showing up at New Jersey for SummerSlam are pretty low, we also cannot rule it out completely. But if there are plans for a surprise entry, WWE is not doing a good job at it. After all, unless people are excited for it, it’s not going to create any momentum. And after his no-show at WrestleMania, without any promo or surprise, this is falling on a flat surface.But one thing many fans have pointed out is that Cody Rhodes wore a watch that looked very much like the one The Rock posted when he returned. He also wore a similar pair of sunglasses as The Final Boss. Does this mean fans can see Rhodes turning on his principles for glory? Many fans had expected that after turning Cena heel, he would be ringside for the big match back in April. But that didn’t happen! Now that there is going to be a rematch, fans are once again hoping that The Final Boss might show up, but they are keeping it on the down low after the previous disappointment.
