BENGALURU: British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran was stopped by Bengaluru police while performing an impromptu gig on Church Street on Sunday, as he did not have the required permissions.
The officers, unaware of his identity, intervened and asked him to leave.
In an another video captured during the incident, Sheeran can be seen telling the crowd, “We have the permission to be here, but this policeman is shutting it down.”
Sheeran is in India for his Mathematics Tour and is set to perform at NICE Grounds in Madavara on Sunday. Fans from across the country are eagerly anticipating two back-to-back concerts, scheduled from 7 pm to 11 pm on Sunday.
The tour, inspired by his chart-topping albums, promises a memorable experience with a setlist featuring global hits like Shape of You, Perfect, Castle on the Hill, Bad Habits, and Thinking Out Loud.
