US Veep Vance, wife to visit India next week, to meet PM on April 21
US Vice President J D Vance will pay an official visit to India from April 21 to 24, govt said. He will be accompanied by Second Lady Usha Vance, their children and senior members of the Trump administration. This will be Vance’s first visit to India. He will meet PM Modi on April 21. “The Vice President and his delegation will have other engagements in Delhi and are also scheduled to visit Jaipur and Agra before departing for Washington DC on April 24,” the govt said in a statement. According to govt, the visit will provide an opportunity for both sides to review progress in bilateral relations and implementation of the outcomes of the India-US joint statement issued on Feb 13 during Modi’s visit. The two sides will exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest, govt said. US announcement said Vance and family will participate in engagements at cultural sites in India.
