Tennis player Radhika Yadav murder: Killer dad Deepak Yadav sent to 14-day judicial custody | Gurgaon News

NEW DELHI: A local court in Gurgaon on Saturday sent Deepak Yadav, who is accused of murdering his daughter Radhika Yadav, to 14-day judicial custody. He was arrested from his home shortly after the incident. On Friday, police had produced Yadav in court and sought a two-day remand for further interrogation.
Here’s what happened
Radhika, 25, was shot four times by her father while she was in the kitchen of their home in Sector 57. Radhika’s uncle Kuldeep, who lives on the ground floor, found her slumped on the kitchen floor. Police said the killing followed a heated exchange between the father and daughter over the tennis academy Radhika ran nearby. Deepak confessed to the murder during initial questioning. He told the authorities that he was repeatedly taunted for depending on his daughter’s earnings and had urged her several times to shut down the tennis academy she ran.
