RAJAHMUNDRY: The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to establish the AP Forest Academy at Diwan Cheruvu in Rajahmundry, East Godavari district, to enhance training for forest personnel.
AP deputy chief minister and forest minister K Pawan Kalyan has instructed forest authorities to identify a suitable environment to provide in-depth training in wildlife conservation. Several locations were proposed by higher forest officials, and after careful evaluation, Diwan Cheruvu’s protected reserve forest was chosen due to its training facilities, natural forest environment, and accessibility.
