After being unavailable for the opening day match against the Cubs in Tokyo due to an illness, the Dodgers’ shortstop Mookie Betts is back to the roster for the upcoming games. Recently, the Los Angeles Times LA Dodgers beat writer Jack Harris provided a major update on the undecided approach of Betts on the White House invitation by the US President Donald Trump. According to Harris, the Dodgers’ star is waiting for his family’s decision over the invitation and even pointed out that Betts would be discussing it with his family before taking the final call for the White House visit. Harris wrote on X-
“Mookie Betts, who did not go to the White House during the Red Sox’s 2019 visit in Trump’s first term, said he is undecided if he will go this time. Said he will talk it over with his family.”
According to the update provided by the Dodgers’ manager, Dave Roberts, the Dodgers team would be visiting the White House on April 7 before their face-off with the Washington Nationals scheduled in Washington, D.C. Recently, Mookie Betts provided an important update about his illness, which led to his absence from the team roster during the opening day two series game against the Cubs in Tokyo.
Based on Mookie Betts’ health update, he lost weight drastically. As revealed by the Dodgers’ star, he weighed around 175 pounds during the spring training but it has reduced to around 150 pounds, which has become the actual cause of concern. Betts even mentioned that his vitals were clean and within the normal limits but started feeling uneasy and sick two days before the opening day game in Tokyo.
