Man suffering from renal failure dies while undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in Salem | Salem News
SALEM: An earthmover operator, who was suffering from renal failure, died on Friday night while undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital (SGMKMCH), hospital dean Dr Devi Meenal told TOI.The deceased has been identified as M Tamilarasan, 25, of Sethukuzhi near Mettur. He was a bachelor.On May 21, Tamilarasan experienced sudden respiratory issues and fever. He was admitted to a private hospital in the city. A health department official said, “The man, who was suffering from for chronic renal failure, tested positive for Covid-19.” He was referred to SGMKMCH on May 22 night where he died on Friday night despite intense care.Health department initiated an investigation.
