KCET 2025 Counselling: KEA to conduct workshop for UGCET qualified candidates on June 28

In a move aimed at streamlining the admission process and addressing common doubts among aspirants, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced a special workshop for candidates who have qualified in the Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET or KCET) 2025.Scheduled for June 28, 2025, the event will begin at 9:30 AM. This state-wide initiative is being organised to provide students and parents with first-hand guidance on the KCET counselling process, including how to navigate option entry, understand the seat allotment system, and make informed choices based on merit rank and availability.As the next crucial step after the KCET result declaration, the workshop aims to ensure transparency, reduce confusion, and help candidates confidently approach the seat selection rounds. It will take place simultaneously across various institutions, including government engineering colleges, aided institutions, VTU-affiliated colleges, and select government polytechnics across Karnataka.
KEA’s clarification post results
Following the declaration of KCET 2025 results on May 24, KEA noticed some students didn’t receive ranks due to incorrect registration number entries.To resolve this, a dedicated online portal was opened on May 26, allowing affected candidates to:• Enter their Class 12 / 2nd PUC marks• Correct their registration details• Upload the appropriate marksheets for verificationThe KCET 2025 exam was conducted by KEA on April 15, 16, and 17 at multiple centres throughout Karnataka. The tests were held in two slots daily: 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM and 2:30 PM to 3:50 PM. Out of 3,30,787 total registered applicants, 3,11,996 actually took the exam.Important: Students are encouraged to attend the workshop at the nearest designated college and follow KEA updates for further counselling instructions.
