Jalin Tuner “The Tarantula” Announces Retirement After UFC 313 Loss Against Ignacio Bahamondes

The renowned MMA fighter Jalin Turner has officially announced his retirement with a heartfelt post on his Instagram page after facing defeat against Ignacio Bahamondes at UFC 313.
Jalin Turner, famously known as “The Tarantula” announced the news to the world via an emotional Instagram post sharing highlights and moments from his career in UFC and as an MMA artist. Jalin Turner recalled his journey and took a moment of brief reflection, thanking his supporters.

On March 8, 2025, Jalin Turner faced off against Ignacio Bahamondes at UFC 313 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada which concluded with Jalin Turner facing defeat followed by the taking off of his gloves inside the octagon hinting at retirement.
“Thank you for all the love and support! I started training mma at 18 in 2013 I started training in my backyard, a SoCal, LA born, IE raised kid with no path and a big dream. God opened the door to MMA when I didn’t know where else to go,” Turner shared.
Dana White, CEO of UFC shared his thoughts concerning the retirement of Jalin Turner in a post-fight press conference of UFC 313.
“Yeah, you know how I feel about that, usually when you start (considering retirement), rarely do I disagree with somebody when they feel like they wanna retire,” the UFC boss said.
Jalin Turner mentions in a post-fight interview of his plans of retiring, stating that he had been considering it since his loss at UFC 300 in April 2024.
“I gave myself 4 years to fight in a big promotion and I did then the 5th year I got to the UFC in 2018. Made it to the top 10 in the toughest division. I made it in a video game. Looking back It doesn’t feel real. I love you all,” he shared.
Jalin Turner retires at the prime age of 29 and on his Instagram post thanks his fanbase and supporters. “I’m sorry I lost my focus and fire earlier than ever expected. 29 years young time is on my good side.”

Jalin Turner’s decision to retire was met with support from many well-wishers along with people wishing he would return one day.
