Ekadashi is regarded as one of the most sacred days in the Hindu religion. This day is entirely devoted to the worship of Lord Vishnu, and devotees engage in fasting and prayer on this significant occasion. In June Nirjala Ekadashi and Yogini Ekadashi will take place, both are considered as the most auspicious Ekadashi. Nirjala Ekadashi is a prominent observance, where individuals adhere to a strict fast, refraining from both food and water and that’s why it is known as as Nirjala Ekadashi. It is believed that those who observe this Ekadashi will receive the benefits of all the Ekadashis that occur throughout the year.Lord Vishnu is the preserver of the universe, and those who worship Him with complete devotion and commitment are said to be absolved of all sins they may have committed in previous lives. Devotees undertake this fast wholeheartedly, maintaining celibacy and avoiding all forms of negative or tamasik activities.

Ekadashi in June 2025: Puja Rituals

1. Rise early in the morning and take a bath before commencing the puja rituals.2. Clean the house, paying special attention to the puja room.3. Take a wooden plank and position an idol of Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna, and Laddo Gopal, if available, along with the Shree Yantra.4. Bathe the idols and return them to their original place.5. Light a diya using desi ghee in front of the idols.6. Make a sankalp to observe the fast with purity and devotion.7. Offer Tulsi Patra, fruits, and panchamrit to the idols.8. Recite the Krishna Maha Mantra 108 times.9. In the evening, one should again offer prayers to the Lord, narrate the story of the specific Ekadashi, and chant the aarti of Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna.10. Do not break Tulsi Patra on the day of Ekadashi.11. Individuals may consume fruits and dairy products, but during Nirjala Ekadashi, they are advised to refrain from eating anything.12. If you are unable to observe Nirjala Vrat due to health issues, you may opt for a regular fast instead.13. The fast will conclude the following day, on Dwadashi Tithi, during Parana Time.
