Elon Musk has become the subject of a dating proposition after being rejected by Chelsea Handler. During an appearance at South by Southwest (SXSW), US comedian and actress Chelsea Handler declared that she would “never have sex with Elon Musk,” even if it were to benefit the nation. This response came after journalist Kara Swisher jokingly suggested Handler “take one for the team” and date Musk, hoping to steer him away from his perceived “dark side.” Handler, however, firmly dismissed Swisher’s suggestion, making it clear that a romantic relationship with Musk was off the table, national interest notwithstanding.

According to a report by The Daily Beast, Handler said that she couldn’t even stand the thought of the billionaire occupying the Oval Office.
“Seriously, did anyone vote for Elon Musk to be president? Isn’t it time for both Republicans and Democrats to unite and say we don’t want that? Can’t we at least agree on that?“I don’t know why we can’t somehow figure out a way to get together and at least have one goal in mind to not be, you know, a Russian asset.” she said.
What Chelsea Handler said about US President Donald Trump
Just a few weeks into the new administration, the 50-year-old comedian also used this opportunity to share her thoughts on what she calls “Trump 2.0.” Handler told the audience that she refuses to let the president and his allies bring her down this time around.
“You know the first Trump presidency, for instance, I let it take me down, and I let it steal my joy. And I am not going to do that again. It’s the power of being optimistic in the dark and not going down a wormhole,” Handler noted.
Previously, Handler has been vocal in her criticisms of Trump and his allies. Last month, while hosting the Critics Choice Awards and dubbing herself the “DEI host,” she took a swipe at Melania Trump, and in 2023, she labelled Musk “repugnant.”
