Bye bye winter? Max temperature set to near 30°C in 5 days in Gurgaon

Gurgaon: The city, on Monday, witnessed a marginal increase in the minimum temperature, registering 9.8 degrees Celsius, which was 0.2 notches above normal, while the maximum reached 26.4 degrees Celsius, 2.7 notches higher than the normal.
The city experienced a balmy and bright Monday, with meteorological officials forecasting intensifying warmth throughout the month.
The Met department indicates similar conditions for Tuesday, accompanied by robust surface winds anticipated to maintain speeds between eight and 12 kmph.
The IMD forecasts predominantly clear skies for the upcoming five days, with temperatures expected to fluctuate around 11 and 25 degrees Celsius for minimum and maximum readings, respectively.
The air quality index (AQI) registered 230 (poor) at 4 pm on Monday, escalating from 170 (moderate) recorded the previous day. Central Pollution Control Board guidelines indicate that ‘poor’ AQI levels can cause respiratory discomfort amongst most individuals during extended exposure. The AQI categorisation spans from zero to 50 as ‘good’, 51 to 100 as ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 as ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 as ‘poor’, 301 to 400 as ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 as ‘severe’.
The maximum temperature in Delhi spiked to the warmest day of the year for two consecutive days.
The rise in temperature was due to the influence of a western disturbance, which reduced wind speeds. The maximum temperature reached 28°C, five degrees above normal, compared to 27.4°C the previous day. The minimum temperature on Monday was recorded at 9.7°C, a notch below normal, compared to 7.8°C the previous day.
