The event was kept really short, yet in a compact live event, Mojang revealed new game drops, upcoming features, and a creative DLC collaboration. The Copper Age release date and features
The first major announcement was the release date for The Copper Age game drop. After months of development, Mojang confirmed that The Copper Age will be released on September 30, 2025.During the announcement, Mojang also touched upon many of its features, including
- New building blocks like copper golem, shelves, chains, bars, lanterns, and torches
- Enhanced aesthetic and functional options in world design
These features will be rolled out to both Java and Bedrock editions as part of the Copper Age update.
Mounts of Mayhem game drop announcement
Then the second major reveal was the introduction of the Mounts of Mayhem game drop. This will be the fourth game drop of 2025. In which Mojang has shared five major new features tied to this update:
- Spear (melee weapon)
It is a new close-range weapon that will be introduced in the Mounts of Mayhem update. The weapon is not throwable.- Recipe: Two sticks + one ingot of either copper, iron, gold, diamond, or netherite.
- Using a higher-tier ingot (e.g., netherite) yields greater durability and damage.
- Nautilus mob (aquatic mount)
A new aquatic creature found in ocean biomes. It can be tamed using a specific food item (pufferfish). Once tamed and mounted, the Nautilus grants a “Breath of the Nautilus” effect, which will slow down the depletion of the player’s air while underwater. - Nautilus armor
It is a new type of armor that can be crafted or found for the Nautilus mob. Enhances protection and perhaps other stats (like speed or durability) when used with the Nautilus.- Types: Copper, iron, gold, diamond, and netherite tiers.
- Craftable: These armor pieces are found in chests rather than crafted via a regular recipe.
- Zombie Nautilus
It is the zombie of the Nautilus. When unmounted, it remains passive. But if a drowned zombie mounts it, the combined creature becomes hostile and will attack players. These new zombie creatures will add danger in the water, especially when players are at depth or in darker areas where we usually find drowned zombies. - Zombie Horse
Previously only summonable via game commands or spawn eggs, the zombie horse will now spawn naturally at night under certain new conditions. In addition, a zombie riding a spear may also be mounted on it, forming a more dangerous entity during nighttime.
New Dragon Ball Z x Minecraft DLC announced
The next major announcement was a creative DLC partnership between Minecraft Bedrock and Dragon Ball Z. Mojang teased the DLC with a scene involving collecting all five Dragon Balls, summoning Shenron, and awarding a Goku Super Saiyan hairstyle cosmetic skin for the player’s head.
