10-year-old girl raped by cook at wedding in MP’s Mauganj district | Bhopal News
BHOPAL: A 10-year-old girl who went to attend a wedding ceremony was allegedly raped by a man who came there to work as a cook in Mauganj district.The incident took place at a village under Laur police station of the district on Thursday midnight. The accused, who is 24 years old, was arrested by police on Friday.SP Mauganj, Dilip Soni, said, “The survivor has not sustained any injuries. We arrested the accused identified as Krishna Pal Giri, 24, a resident of Shadora village, who came to work as a cook in the marriage ceremony on Friday. A detailed investigation is being carried out.”Sources said that the survivor went to attend the ceremony with kin and was having food when the accused cajoled her on some pretext and took her to a deserted place where he raped her. The survivor later narrated her ordeal to the kin, who then reported it to police.
