When Shah Rukh Khan joked about Aryan being a ‘Playboy,’ he later taught him to respect women | Hindi Movie News

An old remark by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan about his son Aryan Khan has resurfaced, drawing fresh attention. In a 1997 appearance on Simi Garewal’s talk show, SRK playfully mentioned wanting his son to be a “playboy” and experience everything life had to offer. The comment, made in jest decades ago, is being widely discussed again amidst growing conversations about gender respect and safety.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Lighthearted Take on Aryan’s Future
During the interview, Simi Garewal teased Shah Rukh Khan about spoiling his then-young son, Aryan. Responding with his signature wit, SRK jokingly said, “I have just told him that he can run after girls, can smoke as much as he wants, can do drugs, can womanize… he should enjoy everything.”
He further quipped about how his son would chase after the daughters of his leading ladies. “I have told all my heroines that you will have daughters, and my son will be running after them. Every day I want complaints from all of them saying, ‘Please keep your son out of our houses and our daughters’ lives.’ I want him to spoil the whole city,” he added.
A Shift in Perspective Over the Years
While Shah Rukh Khan’s comments were humorous, the actor’s outlook on parenting evolved. In more recent interviews, SRK has emphasized the importance of treating women with respect. He once shared how he taught Aryan to never raise his voice against a woman and to always stand up for what is right.
On the work front, SRK was last seen in the action thrillaer ‘Jawan,’ which turned out to be a super hit.
