Building excitement for the film, she recently posted on social media about her adventure learning to play the dhol. Lively and full of energy, Mrunal isn’t just practicing the instrument, she’s truly enjoying every moment of the experience, immersing herself in its lively rhythm.
Mrunal Thakur opens up on learning to play the dhol for ‘Son of Sardaar 2’
Sharing the video, Mrunal wrote, “There’s a certain kind of joy in truly enjoying the process. It keeps me grounded, keeps me going and honestly, I don’t know who I’d be without it. Learning the dhol for Son of Sardar 2 was one of those moments… tiring, thrilling, and so, so special. Just feeling super grateful for it all.”
Mrunal Thakur’s message for her fans
She added, “This is my one small attempt towards bringing a smile on everyone’s faces. I can’t wait for you all to see more of Rabia and the entire crazy family.” Mrunal is known for making her characters real on screen. For her role as Rabia, she practiced playing the dhol for almost three months. After finishing her shoots for another film with director Ravi Udyawar, she would spend time practicing the dhol to get better.
About ‘Son of Sardaar 2’
‘Son of Sardaar 2’, directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, stars Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Panday, Kubbra Sait, and Deepak Dobriyal. The film also features Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia, Sharat Saxena, Sahil Mehta, and the late Mukul Dev. Following the fun of the first film, the sequel promises to double the entertainment. Presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films, it is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande, with N R Pachisia and Pravin Talreja as producers and Kumar Mangat Pathak as co-producer. It is scheduled for release on July 25, 2025.
