Actor Siddharth Jadhav will be seen in the upcoming silent film, ‘Gandhi Talks,’ starring Vijay Sethupathi and Aditi Rao Hydari, directed and written by Kishor Pandurang Belekar. Recently, he shared his experience of an interesting moment from the set where Tamil actor Arvind Swamy made Sambar on the Mumbai shoot set of the film.

In an exclusive conversation with Etimes, Siddharth Jadhav shared his experience of working on the film. He said it felt like a blessing to stand and act with actors he watched on TV. He said, “It was wonderful to act and stand with actors whom I had seen on TV when I was young and admired. It’s truly a blessing to be part of ‘Gandhi Talks.’ All credit goes to my director, Mr. Belekar, who saw this happening.”
Tamil Arvind Swamy makes sambar on set
While shooting in Mumbai, Siddharth Jadhav mentioned Vijay Sethupathi and Arvind Swamy spending time together. He shared that they spoke in Tamil about their industry and many other topics. He also shared a sweet memory from the sets. He said that once Arvind Swamy made sambar for the entire unit in Mumbai. “Once Arvind Sir made sambar for the entire unit in Mumbai, and that showed his simplicity,” he said.Siddharth Jadhav spoke about the down-to-earth nature of his co-stars. He said Arvind Swamy and Vijay Sethupathi are very simple people. He shared that both actors trusted the director fully. Their surrender and belief in the story were clearly visible on the sets. “Their surrender quality and trust in the director were visible. Each and every actor has given more to the film, which is why the film looks so interesting,” he said. He felt happy seeing senior actors work with so much love and respect for cinema.

‘Gandhi Talks’ is a black comedy film. It shows the contrast between Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals and today’s reality. The film talks about values, greed, and society. Directed by Kishore Pandurang Belekar, this silent film features ace actors, namely Vijay Sethupati, Arvind Swamy, Aditi Rao Hydari, Usha Nadkarni, Rohini Hattangadi and Siddharth Jadhav in pivotal roles. Interestingly, The music for the film is given by AR Rahman.
