Bollywood’s dancing diva Malaika Arora has always mesmerized audiences with her impeccable dance moves be it Chaiya Chaiya or Munni Badnaam or Kaal Dhamaal or Hoth Rasiley or Aap Jaisa Koi, but it turns out she’s not the only one in the family with a flair for dance. In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, Malaika revealed that her son, Arhaan Khan, has inherited her dancing genes and often challenges her to dance-offs at home.
When asked if there is a dance song of hers that her son loves, Malaika candidly shared, “I think he loves ‘Munni Badnaam Hui,’ But otherwise, he’ll learn some dance steps and then show me. Then he’ll be like, ‘Come on, Mom, let’s do this together.’”
While this mother-son duo shares fun moments dancing together, Malaika humorously admitted that Arhaan doesn’t hold back from critiquing her moves. “And then he’ll make fun of me for the entire day. He’ll be like, ‘Please, you can’t dance like that..’” she said, laughingly .
Speaking about Arhaan’s dancing skills, Malaika beamed with pride, saying, “He’s a fab when he dances. He’s superb. Thank God, he’s got my dancing genes in him. He dances very well.”
Malaika Arora is currently seen as a judge on the latest season of the dance reality show Hip Hop India, alongside renowned choreographer-director Remo D’Souza. During the conversation, she admitted that if there were ever a dance-off between her and Remo, he would undoubtedly win. She praised his exceptional memory, saying he remembers all the steps effortlessly, giving him an edge in any dance battle.
Apart from her television commitments, Malaika has also ventured into the restaurant business. She, along with her son Arhaan Khan, recently opened Scarlett House in Bandra. The restaurant has quickly gained popularity, becoming a go-to spot for Bollywood celebrities and industry insiders
Arhaan is the son of Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora. The couple tied the knot in 1998 and later parted ways in 2017. They welcomed Arhaan into their lives in 2002.
