ETimes has exclusively learned that a sacred havan and pooja were organised at her Juhu bungalow by her daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, marking the milestone birthday in a deeply spiritual manner.

Keeping with tradition, a sumptuous South Indian meal was prepared by a special Tamil Brahmin cook, a nostalgic touch that made the occasion even more personal. Hema Malini enjoyed the meal with her daughters and grandchildren, surrounded by love and laughter.”
Ram Kamal Mukherjee ‘s long association with Hema Malini
Bollywood filmmaker and author Ram Kamal Mukherjee, who penned ‘Beyond The Dreamgirl’, Hema Malini’s official biography, also visited her to extend his wishes. Ram Kamal, who had previously worked with Esha Deol in ‘Cakewalk’ and ‘Ek Duaa’, the latter earning him his first National Award, shares a long creative association with the Deol family. Ram Kamal confirmed, “Yes, Hema ma’am celebrated her birthday in a very traditional away. Her daughters organised a sacred havan and pooja at her Juhu bungalow.”Interestingly, Mukherjee’s connection with the Dreamgirl goes back even further. He had authored India’s first and only coffee table book on Hema Malini, ‘Diva Unveiled’, in 2005, which featured a foreword written by none other than Amitabh Bachchan.This year’s celebration was not about grandeur but grace, a quiet reflection of Hema Malini’s journey, her family’s love, and her enduring spiritual side.
