Star Health Insurance expands Home Health Care network in 100 locations

CHENNAI: Standalone health insurer Star Health and Allied Insurance Company has expanded the Home Health Care (HHC) programme in 100 locations across the country.
Launched in 2023, the programme offers cashless doorstep medical care, the company said in a statement.
Under the programme, a partner doctor visits the patient’s home to assess their condition, conduct a diagnosis and provide necessary treatment if hospitalisation is deemed unnecessary for the symptoms, with regular in-person follow-ups, it added.
Anand Roy, MD & CEO, Star Health Insurance, said, “By bringing quality medical care closer to customers, we aim to ensure their comfort. This initiative is tangible proof of our focus on transforming health insurance delivery by ensuring that it is accessible, affordable and designed around the evolving needs of customers.”
