Zion Williamson opens up about his fitness status at Pelicans’ media availability

New Orleans Pelicans’ power guard, Zion Williamson, gave a clear view of his fitness at the Pelicans’ media day. He looked fitter than ever, and his words exuded child-like excitement. His words felt like words of assurance to the Pelicans’ fans. Sharing how he dedicated his offseason to some serious fitness goals, he said:“We came up with a plan, and from boxing to working out on the football field a lot, to just different random workouts. And during that time frame last year, I really felt a shift in my body to where I would look at him and go, dude, it feels good to feel good.”Further, he said, “I haven’t felt like this since college, high school, just where I can walk in the gym and I’m like, it just, I feel good.”Zion also shared how the Pelicans’ front office welcomed him for the upcoming season and entrusted him with responsibilities. He called those discussions ‘man-to-man conversations,’ which boosted him to be accountable and responsible.
