Bobby Deol featured in the Suriya starrer ‘Kanguva’, which, according to the audiences, didn’t live up to the expectations and failed to bring the audience to the theatres. It was the Bollywood actor’s debut film in Tamil cinema. In a recent interview, the actor broke silence on the failure of his film at the box office.

In an interview with Fariddon Shahryar, the actor shared that he did the film just because he wanted to work with Tamil star Suriya. Bobby called the latter “a great actor.”In the movie, Deol played the role of the antagonist named Udhiran. In the same interview, addressing the low performance of the film at the box office, he said, “What can you do when the script doesn’t work out? Sometimes I just want to be happy while shooting for a film.”The ‘Animal’ star concluded, saying that he wants to do projects because he is an actor and so that he “can grow.”

The actor also worked in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Daaku Maharaaj’. Talking about the same, Bobby stated that the film was a big hit and it “was great working with Bala sir.” Deol further added, “He’s literally the star of the masses.”
