Govts can’t help if parents in India make crude gender bias a part of raising children. We will never have confident daughters & compassionate sons

We often speak of gender equality through the lens of education, empowerment, and govt schemes. But the real issue isn’t just about policy. It’s practice. It’s not about whether opportunities exist for girls, but whether they’re allowed – and encouraged – to access them. The contradiction lies in what we preach versus what we normalise every day in our homes, schools, and communities.
