Another WWE Superstar Quietly Released After Latest Round of Talent Cuts | WWE News

WWE has released multiple talented superstars from its rosters in recent memory. Now, another name has come to light, which was quietly removed from the company.
WWE is known to be the top wrestling promotion worldwide and a milestone for every aspirant who wants to make it big in the professional wrestling industry. But there is not enough place for everyone, and the company often releases talent who are not proving to draw or either fit in their plans moving forward.
Recently, the company released multiple talents that began as the February 7th, 2025 edition of SmackDown went on the air. The cuts continued over the weekend. However, there is one name that was quietly removed from the roster, unlike other names that had been reported to be released by WWE.
Which WWE superstar has been quietly removed from the WWE roster?
A fan noticed on social media that Elektra Lopez had been quietly moved to the Alumni section of WWE. It was later confirmed by PWInsider that Lopez had indeed been released by the company as part of the Friday talent cuts that saw multiple stars being let go from the global juggernaut.
Elektra Lopez had a good tenure in WWE NXT and was seen as a part of Legado Del Fantasma on RAW and SmackDown as part of her main roster. However, she had only a few matches and was majorly used in a manager spot for the leader, Santos Escobar.
WWE has released multiple talents from its roster
As the broadcast of the February 7th of SmackDown began to run, reports began to emerge of talent being cut from the WWE roster. The first round saw names like Sonya Deville, AOP, Paul Ellering, Cedric Alexander, and Blair Davenport. While there were names like Deville, which came as a huge surprise for the audience, others like AOP and Cedric Alexander reportedly had no creative plans for them going forward. Blair Davenport, on the other hand, did not get much opportunity to shine on the main roster.
The talent cuts continued over the weekend, with stars like The Good Brothers, Isla Dawn, and Giovanni Vinci also being released from the company. The Good Brothers, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were only seen in limited appearances since their comeback in 2022. Isla Dawn had a mediocre run as part of the Unholy Alliance with Alba Fyre, while WWE pulled back on Giovanni Vinci’s run after him, repackaging him for a new gimmick on SmackDown.
With multiple WWE superstars gone from the company, it remains to be seen if more names will be cut on the road to WrestleMania 41.
