Man caught on camera keying Tesla Cybertruck outside resort in New Hampshire

A man was caught on camera allegedly keying a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Omni Mountain Resort & Spa in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, sparking a police investigation into the act of vandalism.
Kerri Pouliot, the owner of the Tesla, shared the footage on X, saying, “Our Tesla Cybertruck was vandalised this weekend in NH. While staying at our hotel, our vehicle was keyed within an hour of arriving.”
Video evidence obtained by Fox News Digital shows the suspect walking alongside the vehicle, appearing to pull a key from his pocket and dragging it along the side of the Cybertruck. When confronted by police at the scene, the man denied any knowledge of the incident. However, officers informed him that they had captured the act on video.
“Do you want to talk about what happened here?” an officer is heard asking in the video. The suspect repeatedly responded, “No, I don’t know what happened.”
Carroll police chief Tadd Bailey confirmed to the New Hampshire union leader that the incident remains under investigation in coordination with the Coos County attorney’s office. Law enforcement officials have not yet released the identity of the suspect, and authorities have not responded to further requests for comment.
Pouliot and her husband, despite the damage, remain steadfast in their support for Tesla, saying they have “no intentions of ever selling our truck.”
The incident comes amid a rise in reported vandalism against Tesla vehicles, drawing attention from federal authorities. FBI director Kash Patel has announced the formation of a task force to address the surge in targeted attacks on the company. “This Task Force is just the latest move in coordinating our efforts to ensure those who violently attack Tesla will be pursued and brought to justice,” FBI spokesperson Ben Williamson said.
US President Donald Trump also weighed in on the growing trend of attacks against Tesla, posting on social media last week, “I look forward to watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20-year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla. Perhaps they could serve them in the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for such lovely conditions!”
The attacks on Tesla vehicles and their founder, Elon Musk, have been met with mixed reactions. Democratic Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett of Texas recently made remarks calling for Musk to be “taken down,” prompting attorney general Pam Bondi to issue a warning about the impact of such rhetoric.
“After she said that about Elon, [Crockett] said, ‘Well, I didn’t mean violence,’ but your words have consequences,” Bondi said on Fox News. “In her own home state, three explosive devices were found in Austin, Texas, shortly after her remarks. She needs to unequivocally denounce the violence.”
Despite the controversy, Crockett has continued to push back against Musk, organising a “Global Day of Action” against Tesla on March 29, which also happens to be her birthday. “All I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down,” she said.
As the investigation into the Cybertruck vandalism continues, it remains to be seen whether authorities will file formal charges against the suspect captured on video.
