Why neither India, nor Pakistan, can risk a nuclear war

Both India and Pakistan have missiles capable of hitting each other anywhere, which is why a nuclear war is just not an option

Following the deadly Pahalgam terrorist attack that killed 26, Pakistan’s defence minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif claimed a military incursion by India was imminent, prompting a reinforcement of forces by Pakistan
He also said Pakistan was on high alert but would only use its nuclear weapons if “there is a direct threat to our existence”. Asif is a veteran politician and member of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz party.
