When Kiara sensed a proposal was coming
Kiara revealed that the proposal took place during their first family holiday together. She admitted that she had an inkling Siddharth might pop the question but wanted things done the traditional way. Summing up the moment, Kiara shared how she asked Siddharth to speak to her parents first.“You know, when Sid came to that episode, we’d just returned from Rome, where he proposed to me. I had a little bit of inclination that he would propose. I told him, ‘You have to speak to my parents.’ He said, ‘Are you kidding me?’ I said, ‘Yeah, first ask them and get their permission. Let’s do it correctly. They will be happy,’” she said.Kiara also revealed that she travelled with Siddharth’s parents on the trip, as her own mother was unwell at the time.
A surprise captured by family
Despite her instincts, the proposal still managed to surprise her. Kiara shared that Siddharth’s nephew secretly recorded the moment. Recalling the anticipation, she said, “It did come as a surprise because I did not know where on this trip… I kept thinking, I hope he does propose because now I’ve built it up in my head. And if he doesn’t propose on this trip…”She added that Siddharth ended up proposing at their very first destination, making the moment even more special.
A movie-like moment in Rome
Siddharth planned an elaborate candlelight dinner at a Michelin-star restaurant, but the magic didn’t stop there. Kiara described what followed — a quiet walk, sudden violin music and a hidden camera capturing it all.“He planned the works… suddenly the violinist comes out of the bushes playing… He then goes on one knee and proposes,” she recalled.Overwhelmed, Kiara found herself speechless. That’s when Siddharth broke the silence in the most unexpected way. “After his whole speech, he didn’t know what to say to me, so he starts saying the lines of Shershaah. He’s like, ‘Dilli ka seedha saada launda hoon,’ and he repeated the full dialogue from the film. Then I burst out laughing,” she added.
From proposal to parenthood
