Ticket Verification: Western Railway has launched a new app to help ticket-checking staff verify mobile tickets more efficiently. The app scans details like the UTS number and mobile number, cross-referencing them with the railway’s database to detect counterfeit tickets. This will reduce ticket fraud, making travel safer for passengers.
Faster complaint resolution: The new complaint resolution app allows passengers to quickly report issues like unclean restrooms, food problems, or dirty linens. The ticket supervisor on each train can instantly contact the appropriate staff to address complaints, ensuring quicker and more efficient resolutions.
Improved service on Premium Trains: The app is currently being used on premium trains such as Vande Bharat, Rajdhani, and Shatabdi. It has already improved the overall quality of services on these trains, ensuring passengers enjoy a more comfortable and well-maintained travel experience.
Real-Time Monitoring of Staff: The app allows railway staff, including the train captain and Travel Ticket Examiners (TTEs), to monitor the status of complaints and track the performance of onboard services, including cleaning, catering, and linen handling.
