In the heartwarming world of Wagle Ki Duniya, one character who continues to leave a lasting impression is Atharva Wagle, brought to life by the talented Sheehan Kapahi. Starting his journey on the show at a very young age, Sheehan has grown not just in stature but in his craft, becoming a fan favorite for his spirited and heartfelt portrayal. In this candid conversation, Sheehan opens up about his journey, the lessons he’s learned, and how closely he relates to the character of Atharva.
“It’s been four years, but it feels like I just stepped onto the set for the first time,” Sheehan shares, reflecting on his beginnings. From being a wide-eyed newcomer to becoming a seasoned part of the ensemble, Sheehan describes the set as his second home—full of laughter, love, learning, and the occasional scolding that came from a place of care. “This show gave me more than a role. It gave me a family.”
As for his connection to Atharva, Sheehan reveals, “We are reflections of each other in so many ways.” From energy and curiosity to the joy found in simple moments, Atharva mirrors much of Sheehan’s own personality. But there’s a difference too—while Atharva’s mischief is scripted, Sheehan admits his playful side has landed him in real trouble!
Wagle Ki Duniya is beloved for its strong portrayal of family values, and being part of the show has left a deep impact on Sheehan. “Family isn’t just about blood. It’s about love, forgiveness, and standing by each other,” he says. The show has taught him not only the importance of honesty and patience but also that even tough situations can be mended with kindness and understanding.
One of Sheehan’s most cherished memories on set involves Atharva’s superhero dream. “Wearing the Superman costume, flying with the harness—it was like living a fantasy,” he recalls with excitement. That magical moment reminded him of the beauty of acting: to live dreams, even if just for a scene.
When asked about his inspirations, Sheehan speaks highly of co-star Sumeet Raghavan, describing him as a guiding light. “He taught me that being a great actor begins with being a great human. And his advice—‘never just say the dialogue, feel it’—changed everything for me.”
Among the many compliments he’s received, one in particular stands out. A pregnant woman once told Sheehan that she keeps Atharva’s photo by her bed and hopes her child grows up like him. “That moment made me realize this is more than entertainment—it’s a part of people’s lives,” Sheehan says, visibly moved.
While he can’t reveal much about upcoming storylines, Sheehan promises laughter, lessons, and heartfelt moments ahead. And to his fans, his message is simple: “Thank you. Your love is the reason I do this. I promise to keep telling stories that matter.”
