Vikramaditya Motwane wraps up recce for Sourav Ganguly biopic | Bengali Movie News
Director Vikramaditya Motwane was in town from Sunday to Wednesday, completing the recce for the upcoming Sourav Ganguly biopic. According to sources, the film, which stars Rajkummar Rao as the former Team India captain, will go on the floors in March-end and be shot in Kolkata, Mumbai and London.Sourav’s friend Sanjay Das, who played a key part in the film’s development, told us that the final draft of the script is ready. “Dada is in South Africa now, and once he’s back, the final decisions regarding cast will be done. Vikramaditya did the final recce in Kolkata along with his DoP and other directorial members. They visited Eden Gardens and the Dukhi Ram Memorial Cricket Academy, where Dada started his cricket training,” Sanjay added.

Sanjay also asserted that no one has been finalised to play Dona Ganguly yet. “In the film, Dona will be aged between 17 and 22, so someone who matches that age must be cast.
