Upasana Konidela reveals she had Klin Kaara naturally despite freezing her eggs after marrying Ram Charan: ‘I was pregnant with her during the Oscars’ | Telugu Movie News

Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana Konidela, is known for her successful career as an entrepreneur and has also made headlines for previously opening up about her decision to freeze her eggs. In a recent interview, Upasana spoke about having her daughter, Klin Kaara Konidela, naturally, despite having undergone egg freezing during her marriage. She also shared how Ram took care of Klin during her busy periods at work.
In a recent conversation with Masoom Minawala, Upasana explained how she manages to care for her little one when work takes her away. She revealed that Ram Charan, a busy actor, handles the situation with great grace.
“He’s a hands-on dad, and he takes equal responsibility — sometimes even more — when I’m travelling. Like when I was at Harvard, Kaara was with him the entire time. He made sure to take her everywhere, ensured she ate well — and by the way, he’s an ace dad when it comes to getting her to eat,” she shared.
She added that feeding children, especially Klin, is very challenging. Upasana further joked that she once believed the office was the toughest place to work — but now considers it a cakewalk compared to parenting.
When asked whether being married to a superstar is difficult, Upasana responded, “No marriage is easy. Every marriage has its ups and downs. But I think as long as you know what your goals are, understand one another well, and have mutual respect, then it’s cool. We have that respect for each other — so I’d say our marriage scores high.”
She also revealed that both she and Ram Charan often discuss their work and try to incorporate the best practices from each other’s industries into their own.

Upasana described motherhood as an incredible experience and shared how Klin has transformed her life.
“Kaara has brought so much happiness, and she arrived at the perfect time. You know, I was pregnant with her during the Oscars — she’s our lucky baby. She’s travelled everywhere with me — to the Globes, the Oscars — she’s always by my side. I truly feel that having her around gives me security as a mother, as a woman, and as an entrepreneur. She gives me that sense of reassurance, like saying, ‘It’s okay, Mama — if things don’t go well at the office, I’m here for you at home.’ It’s so beautiful to have her,” Upasana added.
When speaking about her decision to freeze her eggs, Upasana clarified that she had Klin naturally. She emphasised that egg freezing is not just for those with fertility issues but also a form of security — an empowering option for women to choose motherhood on their own terms, since they shoulder most of the responsibility in raising a child. “So, the egg freezing procedure — my family encouraged me to go ahead and do it. And I was very happy that they pushed me towards it. But I had Kaara naturally. It’s always wonderful to have that safety net,” she concluded.
