This incident is most unfortunate: Kabir Bedi | Hindi Movie News
The Kannada film Koragajja’s promotional press meet in Kochi was cancelled after a competing press conference for a Malayalam film starring Mammootty was allegedly scheduled at the same time. The Koragajja team had planned the event at a Kochi hotel on January 24, with invitations sent to media a week in advance. Actors Kabir Bedi and Bhavya had already arrived in the city for the promotion. However, on the eve of the event, Mammootty’s team announced a press meet for Chaathapach at the same time.

(Sudhir Attavar and Kabir Bedi)Director Sudheer Attavar and producer Trivikram Sapalya said they received a late-night call asking them to cancel or postpone their event. Kabir Bedi expressed disappointment over the incident. “I’m a fan of Malayalam films, and the language has won around 25 per cent of India’s national awards. I came to Kochi for Koragajja’s promotion out of respect for Malayalam cinema. This incident is most unfortunate,” he said.He added, “Maybe Mammootty wasn’t aware, but disrupting a press meet scheduled in advance isn’t right. They should have checked with the media or PROs before planning their event at the same time.” Producer Trivikram Sapalya said, “We received great support across the country, except in Kochi where this unfortunate incident happened.”
