The Great Indian Kapil Show is back for its third season, and fans are thrilled by the news. At the launch event, host Kapil Sharma and the crew shared some fun insights about the show and its past seasons. Kapil humorously touched on his infamous spat with Sunil Grover and also revealed that Coldplay had shown interest in appearing on the show. Additionally, he couldn’t resist teasing The Great Indian Kapil Show judge Archana Puran Singh, who recently hurt her wrist and had to undergo surgery.
Kapil also playfully teased Archana Puran Singh about her recent injury, joking that she got so excited about the third season that she ended up beating her neighbor. “The minute Archanaji learned that our show was so much in demand and a new season was coming, she went and beat up a neighbour,” he said, pointing to the plaster on her hand.
Archana had an accident last week while filming for Rajkumar Rao’s debut production, Toaster.
Kapil also humorously mentioned how Coldplay had expressed interest in appearing on his show. He shared, “We requested the Netflix team to reserve the set for an entire year. People were going wild trying to get tickets for the Coldplay concert, and they were flooding us with emails asking to appear on the show. I told them we could bring them on, but now the show is on hold. However, I sincerely request Netflix to keep pushing forward.”
When Maniesh Paul asked Kapil what viewers should expect from Season 3, Kapil humorously referred to his argument with Sunil Grover, saying, “Season 3 is for them; for us, it’s just another episode. It’s a 200-episode series. We don’t stop until there’s a fight among ourselves.”
