‘Tere Ishq Mein’ starring Kriti Sanon and Dhanush, released in cinemas on Friday, November 28 and the film left everyone surprised with a good opening. The intense romantic drama made Rs 16 crore on the opening day, thus, further being a testament to the fact that love stories have worked this year, starting with ‘Saiyaara’ followed by ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’. The film faced a hurdle on Saturday because growth at the major multiplex chains remained modest—an area that usually drives the day’s momentum. However, Sunday brought a turnaround. With the day leaning heavily on mass belts, the movie surged once again, as regions like CPCI, Rajasthan, Bihar and Gujarat delivered notable jumps, with several centres recording increases of over 30%.Taken as a whole, the weekend numbers are outstanding, positioning the film firmly as a success. Now, it only needs steady weekday performance to become one of the RARE hits of 2025.
