SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali- The Epic’ locked and loaded with overseas distributors | Telugu Movie News
Over the past 10 years Telugu Cinema with films like Baahubali series, RRR, Pushpa franchise etc has made a name for itself not only in India but also across the globe especially in the North American circuit. But with fame comes responsibility, over past years there has been a serious issue which the overseas distributors, especially North American distributors have been facing, which is the timely delivery of movies. Take the case of Pawan Kalyan’s latest release They Call Him OG- they makers made the delivery so late that many cinema chains had to cancel the shows. In many places fans in collaboration with distributors stepped up to hand deliver the hard drives to cinema chains so that the premiere of the film doesn’t get cancelled. The film was delayed so much that the Tamil release of the film was completely cancelled and the film released only in Telugu and Hindi. The next release in Telugu Cinema is SS Rajamouli, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati’s Baahubali- The Epic; a re-cut 3 hour 45 minute version of both Baahubali films put together. The film which is slated to have its release on 31st October across the globe is having its premiere for US markets on 29th October. And to no one’s surprise the film’s footage was delivered a week in advance, so that each cinema chain can calibrate their screenings.International sources reveal that this is not the first time Rajamouli has delivered the footage way in advance, in fact he is one of the only directors who has done this time and again, be it RRR or Baahubali 2- The Conclusion. Baahubali- The Epic is expected to have a grand release which US premiere day advance booking crossing Rs 2.5 crore mark- highest ever for a re-releasing film. In fact Rana Daggubati himself is flying off to the US to be present at the TCL Chinese Theatres IMAX, Los Angeles on the 29th of October for the premiere show.
