Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, is quickly making her mark in Bollywood with a series of high-profile projects lined up even before her official debut. The latest buzz surrounds her upcoming collaboration with Abhay Verma in a romantic film directed by Shujaat Saudagar, which has officially begun filming.
On March 12, 2025, Shanaya, Abhay and director Shujaat Saudagar, known for ‘Rock On 2’, shared a glimpse from the sets of the untitled film on Instagram Stories. The photo featured a clapperboard with the initials “JC” and the date of the shoot. While the title remains under wraps, this romantic drama has already sparked curiosity among fans. Saudagar tagged both Shanaya Kapoor and Abhay Verma in his post, and Shanaya reshared it with a heartfelt reaction, “Sir,” accompanied by a red heart and crossed-fingers emoji.
In addition to this, Shanaya’s survival thriller ‘Tu Yaa Main‘ was announced just yesterday with an intriguing teaser. Directed by Bejoy Nambiar and produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma, the film co-stars Adarsh Gourav. The teaser sets up an eerie narrative involving socio-economic contrasts between the characters amidst mysterious backwaters. Shanaya shared the teaser on Instagram with the caption: “Love. Terror. And a collab gone very, very wrong. Who’s more excited for this one? #TuYaaMain #LikeShareSurvive #Valentines2026.” The film is slated for release on Valentine’s Day 2026.
Apart from these, Shanaya also has ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’, where she stars opposite Vikrant Massey. Although Shanaya was initially set to debut with Karan Johar’s ‘Bedhadak’, the project was reportedly shelved due to undisclosed reasons.
