‘Shaitaan’ actress Janki Bodiwala joins ‘Mardaani 3’ after impressing Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji

Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji played tough cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani in 2014, a Yash Raj Films thriller that became a hit. She returned five years later with ‘Mardaani 2,’ which was also a box office success. Fans have been waiting for the third part, and earlier in 2024, Pinkvilla reported that YRF is finally moving ahead with ‘Mardaani 3.’ The film, directed by Abhiraj Minawala, started shooting earlier this year and is set to release on Holi 2026.

According to Pinkvilla, Janki Bodiwala has joined the cast of ‘Mardaani 3.’ After her strong performance in ‘Shaitaan,’ Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji were impressed and chose her for an important role. She will be playing a cop in the film and has already started shooting in Mumbai.

The report also suggests that Mardaani 3 will be the most powerful part of the series so far. Yash Raj Films is set to release four major films over the next year. The lineup begins with Saiyara on July 18, followed by War 2 on August 14, ‘Alpha’ on December 25, and Mardaani 3 on February 27. Additionally, big action films like ‘Dhoom 4’ and ‘Pathaan 2’ are currently in development.
