Samay Raina’s upcoming ‘Unfiltered’ Delhi shows get cancelled amid ‘India’s Got Latent’ row |

The ‘India’s Got Latent’ controversy is not yet over and the comedians and YouTubers involved in the same are still in the hot waters. Amid the ongoing row, stand-up comedian Samay Raina’s upcoming Delhi live shows at the Talkatora stadium have been cancelled.
The information came to light after the ticketing platform BookMyShow informed the audience that the event has been cancelled, and all those who booked for the show via them would receive refunds within seven to ten working days.
Samay Raina was scheduled to perform in Delhi on March 21 and 23 at the aforementioned venue. Numbers on the ticketing platform claimed that both the shows were sold out. However, just a few days ahead of the shows, on Saturday, a message was sent out regarding the cancellation of the event.
“Your Samay Raina Unfiltered – Talkatora Stadium Show scheduled on Fri Mar 21 2025 (or Sun Mar 23 2025) 7:00 PM at Talkatora Stadium Delhi has been cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We have processed the refund for the amount…The refund should reflect in 7 to 10 working days,” read the message sent by the ticketing platform.
Samay has reportedly canceled his shows in Gujarat as well following escalating controversy surrounding influencer Ranveer Allahbadia’s recent remarks about Raina’s show, ‘India’s Got Latent.’ The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) announced that the comedian will no longer perform in Gujarat, and his tickets have been removed from the ticket platform.
VHP spokesperson Hitendrasinh Rajput mentioned that Raina had intended to hold four performances in the state, with scheduled dates in Surat on April 17, Vadodara on April 18, and Ahmedabad on April 19 and 20.
Earlier this month, Justice Surya Kant on the ongoing row said, “There are some people who are writing articles on free speech etc. We know how to handle them also. Every fundamental right is followed by duty. There are restrictions also.”
This statement came after Raina, during his Canada tour, addressed the controversy around his show and had said to the crowd, “Thanks for paying my lawyer’s fees”.
