Rajshree Thakur: It is time makers explore different concepts and produce shows around real stories

Rajshree Thakur, who is currently seen in the show Bas Itna Sa Khwab, shares how she is glad TV show makers are not making stories around young couples.
Rajshree said, “TV is my comfort zone. I did get an offer from a web show maker but it got shelved. After marriage and having a baby, offers never stopped pouring from TV, so I never said no. I am happy that TV show makers are not just focussing on young couple love stories. They are exploring the kind of struggles and issues a middle-aged couple goes through. It is time makers explore different concepts and make shows around real stories. Everything is not about fairy tales and boy and girl falling in love with each other.”
In an earlier interview with BT, Rajshree shared how she had to abruptly quit Shaadi Mubarak in 2020 because she had no house help at home. She said, “I remember in 2020 I had to quit Shaadi Mubarak because I had no house help at that time. My daughter had to be taken care of. Mostly, my husband and I shuffle duties in looking after my daughter. Either he manages to work from home when I am shooting or I stay at home when he is working from the office. At that time I had to abruptly quit because it was getting difficult to manage things at home. Now, my daughter is grown up and she happily lets me go to work. Many people had assumed at that time how I was quitting due to issues with the production house but that was not the case. I am a very family person at heart and after packing up, I hardly go out to party with friends, I am mainly at home cooking or reading.”
