Rajiv Adatia calls out celebrities promoting betting apps; says 'Is it worth playing with fans' emotions? Is it worth misleading people into scams?"

Celebrity MasterChef finalist, Rajiv Adatia has taken a strong stand against celebrities and influencers promoting betting and online gaming apps. In a powerful Instagram reel, he called out the dangers of such promotions, highlighting how they push young people into financial and emotional distress.
The Bigg Boss 15 contestant shared a heartbreaking incident where a father was seen trying to save his son from suicide after losing a huge amount of money on these platforms. Expressing his frustration, he said, “I am completely against promoting betting apps and gaming apps. This is very bad karma. There are better ways to earn money, and I have been vocal about this because families are getting destroyed.”
He further emphasized how celebrities’ endorsements mislead people into believing that these platforms are trustworthy. “People think if a celebrity is promoting it, it must be good. But the truth is, there’s nothing good about this. Every day, I see videos of young people committing suicide because they have no way out.”
Rajiv didn’t hold back in criticizing those who profit from these endorsements, stating that the negative consequences of such promotions eventually come back as karma. “If you promote these apps and people lose everything, that responsibility is on you. These people are not playing for fun; they are hoping to earn for their families. But instead, they end up losing everything.”
He urged celebrities to think before endorsing such platforms, asking, “Is it worth playing with fans’ emotions? Is it worth misleading people into scams?” Rajiv concluded by strongly advocating for a complete ban on betting apps in India and across the world.
His bold message is earning widespread support, with many agreeing that celebrities should be more responsible with their influence. Rajiv’s stand serves as a wake-up call for influencers to promote ethical choices over easy money.
