WHAT A MATCH!After a drought of 18 years, Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally won their maiden IPL title by defeating Punjab Kings. This nail-biting IPL 2025 final kept cricket lovers glued to the edge of their seats till the last ball! Amid the big celebration, Virat Kohli’s expressions and his moments with Anushka Sharma as they held the trophy are going viral on the internet. Interestingly, along with all this, the words of wisdom shared by spiritual leader Premamand Ji Maharaj for Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are also resurfacing.
Premamand Ji Maharaj to Virat and Anushka: “Abhyaas mein kami nahi honi chahiye”
In January this year, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, along with their children Vamika and Akay, met Premanand Ji in Vrindavan. As the couple arrived to seek some peace, Premanand Ji lauded Virat Kohli’s dedication and hard work and gave the duo some advice of a lifetime. “Aur Abhyaas mein kami nahi honi chahiye” (there should be no compromise in efforts), he told the couple. The spiritual leader further explained how Virat and Anushka both are bringing joy to the nation with their work in their respective fields. He shared, “The biggest thing is that we are making people happy through our practice, giving them happiness. And they (Kohli) give happiness to the whole of India through their game. If they win, fireworks are set off across India, and the whole country celebrates. Isn’t this their practice too?” “If they dedicate their victory to God, the whole of India is connected with them. If they achieve victory, every child in India rejoices. So their ‘sadhna and bhajan‘ is to stay in their practice, even if it’s a game, but the whole of India derives joy from it. If we, for some reason, should focus on the strength of our practice, there should be no lack in our practice, and we should remember to take his (almighty’s) name in between. So this is their practice (Sadhna),” he continued.Seems like Premanand Ji Maharaj’s words resonate with Virat on a different level, and thus, he was able to make a historic win. He and Anushka visited Maharaj Ji a day after he announced his retirement from test cricket. He was seen doing naam jaap during his visit, which further highlighted the spiritual side of the cricketer.
