Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani’s marital journey has taken a new turn, from renewing their wedding vows during a traditional ceremony while expecting their first child, to parting ways amicably after 11 years of marriage. Now, Bharat has gone public with a new relationship, surprising fans with his romantic announcement.
Bharat introduces new partner
In a post, Bharat is seen holding Meghna Lakhani close as they gaze into each other’s eyes. He captioned it, “Welcome to the family, it’s official.” Meghna shared the story on her own account and later posted another picture with Bharat, offering fans a glimpse of their relationship.
Marriage and separation
Bharat was married to actor Esha Deol for 11 years. They tied the knot in 2012 and separated in 2024, describing their split as mutual and amicable and emphasising that the well-being of their daughters, Radhya and Miraya, remains their top priority.The statement read, ‘We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy is respected.’
Renewed vows during pregnancy
Their elder daughter, Radhya, was born in October 2017 at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai, following the couple’s pregnancy announcement earlier that year. To celebrate, Esha and Bharat renewed their wedding vows at ISKCON Temple, Juhu, during a traditional Sindhi Godh Bharai ceremony, taking three pheras around the sacred fire.According to Rediff, the ceremony was attended by close friends and family, including Jaya Bachchan, Rashmi Thackeray, and Dimple Kapadia. Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan also participated in the tel kumkum ritual with the couple.On the work front, Esha was last seen in web series, ‘Hunter Tootega Nahi Todega’. It also starred Suniel Shetty, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Rahul Dev and others.
